Time is running out...

My stay in Germany is coming to its end.

Three months later I've learned...

... that a smile can take you further than thousand words

... that you never know when it will be the next goodbye - as well as you can't know when it will be the nex hello

... that you can meet that person that you thought you will never see again seven years later - the world is not so big!

... that you can feel loneliness with fifty people around, and company with just one

... that when you think you have lost everything, you can find the strength to keep on

... that some people you consider your friends can let you down - but some people will always support you and these are the ones who deserve to be called friends

... that your real friends are those you feel by your side, even when you are 2000 km away from them

... that your family love you even more than you could imagine

... that things never happen as you expected them to happen - it is not worthy to worry about the future

... that an ordinary day can become an extraordinary day

... that you don't realize how much you are going to miss something until it's coming to its end

PS: I have also learned something about physics ;)

Why is Oktoberfest called „Oktober"-fest when it actually begins in September?

"The historical background: the first Oktoberfest was held in the year 1810 in honor of the Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig’s marriage to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. The festivities began on October 12, 1810 and ended on October 17th with a horse race. In the following years, the celebrations were repeated and, later, the festival was prolonged and moved forward into September.By moving the festivities up, it allowed for better weather conditions. Because the September nights were warmer, the visitors were able to enjoy the gardens outside the tents and the stroll over “die Wiesen” or the fields much longer without feeling chilly. Historically, the last Oktoberfest weekend was in October and this tradition continues into present times."

=) Yeah! Last weekend began the Oktoberfest, one of the most important festivals around the world. Unfortunately, during the weekend it was sooo crowded that I couldn't manage to get into a "Zelt" (but at least I could try the roller coaster :)

After that, we went to the cinema ("So ist Paris").

On Sunday morning, it took place the so called "Umzug", an exhibition of typical dresses ("Trachten"). I will upload some photos so that you can have an idea ;)

Warum muss ich mir diesen Käse also anhören?
